After our time in Sydney, it was time to hit the road...We've had 3 weeks of adventure, long busrides, everything from beach to bush, multi-international friendships, exploring the backpacker-world and endless numbers of hostels...
Living in dorms with up to 20 people with different sex, backgrounds, habits and smells has definately been interesting!
You never know what you're gonna get...
But as the Aussie- people say, you've gotta "Live alittle"!
Our life-saver Mr Greyhound (Mr Bus) himself has been taking us from south to north, day & night.
Thanks for the ride.
During our time we've seen endless beaches, everything from Byron Bay, Lennox head, Ballina, Surfer's Paradise, Rainbow Beach, Agnes Water/1770, Airlie & Mission Beach...In the homeland of Surf, the beauty reigns.
Taking a chill-pill.
Then we hit Brisbane aka Brissie, a rose between thorns.
Lucky as always, we got to stay with a dear viking Calla in his mansion. In his backyard you'll find an oasis of palmtrees, jacuzzi, pools, bridges & bbq.
Heaven- home for free...thanks man!Being in the neighbourhood we thought we'd step by to greet some old familymembers in ywam Brissie. So cool to see you guys again, short but good! Reaching Surfer's Paradise we saw the sun for the first time in 2,5 weeks,
right on time Mr PT!
Finally we were able to trace down a real local.
Consider that Australia is filled with 1 million germans at the moment, we have full understanding that the real Aussies stay away...Add some thousands scandinavians, englishmen and dutchs, and you'll be there.
The word "commercial" defines the east coast, and makes it hard to experience the real Australia.
Thanks buddy for taking the time.
Up north we went out for a day sailing the Whitsunday Islands on the Great Barrier Reef. The catamaran Camira and her crew rescued us from the predictable backpacker-life for a moment.
We got to snorkle on the reef exploring the seaworld.
Goodmornin' Nemo.
Pink Ladies. Nice, but bye bye... We've finished the Pacific, now we're ready for Asia.
Chung, ching chong noodles...Taiwan next.
