Welcome to Africa*

We arrived in busy Jo'burg, Gangsters's Paradise, on a sunny morning the 2nd of August. The journey is on. Uncle Simon taxidriver picked us up at the airport making us feel like home! We felt it in our fingers...In Africa it is in the air!

Jo'burg is the place where no one goes out making friends or trusting anyone...safety is not a guarantie or a word on people's lips. But those who knows the Lord fear nothing...Vagabonds & Urbanus. Friends for future...

Getting material for our book, being in the field, getting close to people's lives, being one with our environments, sharing some love & joy...yes that's our every day life. We go where our feets are leading us and do what our hearts say...It's amazing what a difference a day make!

On the road for 18 hours in the sleep liner, we got safe & sound to Cape town, the city with no breaks. Fits us perfectly! It's Africa with a shot of Europe...

With our new friend Zack (from Costa Rica, meet you there man!), we were invited to Simba's house to play the jamboo...the african rythm for real! Getting to know the culture through the locals...nothing like it!

We've been staying at an Inn in Long Street...we're getting to know what businesses are all about here. After being robbed for a 1000 bucks, we are now also playing with the big boys...In the capital of crime we're hanging loose with the homeless kids & friends like Edward and Walfred here. You don't need cash to have fun*

Our local DJ Sango & our homeboy Jesus (in the background) makes the dancefloors holy.

Hyggelig å se noe fra starten på turen deres. Tenker på dere. Fint om dere kan skrive litt om hvordan dere kommer i kontakt med folk. har dere UIO's baser som utgangspunkt ? Klem fra Mette
